The
RuffGrip®
Dog Leash
is made of rubber woven nylon webbing with leather "stops"
positioned every six inches to shorten and lengthen the
leash without
wrapping it around your hand. Or making knots in it, causing the
leash to wear prematurely. The rubber makes this leash extremely easy to
get a grip, so that there are no more "rope burns" from
dogs or puppies who tend to "drag" on the end of their leashes
during the early stages of training.
Many training facilities are using the RuffGrip®
for obedience and agility training classes. The leash is thin and
lightweight. Customers with arthritis
and carpal tunnel say that the easier gripping material alleviates the
need to hold so tightly, easing pain. It's used by hunters and outdoor
competitors due to the fact that, unlike leather, it doesn't slip in the
rain.
The RuffGrip®
leash's handle and leather stops as well as clip attachment end is made of
high quality bridle leather. It is attached to the webbing portion of the
leash by first hot glue, then reinforced stitching and finally a rust
proof brass rivet is added at both ends to insure strength. The clip is a
swivel clip made of rust proof nickel plated brass. The rubber is finely
woven into the nylon webbing and resists wear.
The Massachusetts
State Police have trialed this leash and reported that it has held
up in the aggression portion of training that requires the police dog to
lunge at the end of it's leash towards a would be suspect so we are
confident it will hold up under day to day use.
Our
rolled leather
Buffalo
LeashTM
& collar line is made from the most indestructible &
water resistant leather on the market. The tanning process allows the
hide to retain it's oily nature and makes this the softest, most
supple
leather. This also makes the leather very low maintenance and resistant to
dry rot. The leashes are 5 ft long and we carry 5 different sizes of
matching collars. Both leash and collar currently have an authentic
Buffalo nickel we are attaching to them to make a nice set and add a
finishing touch. Visit our Buffalo product page for pictures and ordering.
